TAI CHI PROGRAM

What is Tai Chi?
Tai Chi is a Chinese “art” founded by Taoist monks centuries ago in the mystical and mysterious mountains of China.  The philosophy behind Tai Chi seeks a harmonious way of life which lends itself not just to survival, but also to quality.  This philosophy and the exercises of Tai Chi guide one toward vitality and health, humanity, compassion, and inner connection to all that is life enriching.

Tai Chi is a discipline of slow-motion exercise, which through graceful and flowing movements fosters relaxation, sensitivity, and mindfulness.  This form of mind-body exercise utilizes various stances, postures, leg maneuvers, arm motions and hand positions synchronized with special breathing techniques to achieve a moving meditation for its practitioners.
